Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan +1/+1 counters and graveyard recursion midrange strategy led by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The core game plan revolves around deploying low-cost mana dorks and counter-bearing creatures during the early turns, establishing an engine that converts counters into self-mill and permanent reanimation. Tayam, Luminous Enigma grants vigilance counters to entering creatures and removes any three counters from your board to recur permanents with mana value 3 or less at instant speed. The deck scales by proliferating and multiplying counters via Conclave Mentor, Winding Constrictor, and Evolution Sage, producing mana through Kami of Whispered Hopes and Insidious Roots. Protective permanents like Selfless Spirit, Dauntless Escort, and Spore Frog are continuously recurred from the graveyard to blank opposing attacks and sweepers. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage facilitated by team evasion from Champion of Lambholt, Abzan Falconer, and Duskshell Crawler, or a decisive mass reanimation spell in Eerie Ultimatum.
