Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya hatebears and aggro-stax build led by Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar. The strategy focuses on establishing early asymmetric resource denial through Rule of Law effects, artifact nullification like Collector Ouphe, and enter-the-battlefield muzzles such as Doorkeeper Thrull. Kutzil breaks parity on these restrictive pieces by providing unconditional silence during your own turns and converting combat connections from modified creatures into steady card draw. The mana base leverages eight efficient one-mana ramp spells to deploy stax pieces and counter distributors ahead of curve. Once the table is constrained, the deck scales its board presence using +1/+1 counter engines like Luminarch Aspirant and mass buffs such as Thunderfoot Baloth, Skyhunter Strike Force, and Overwhelming Stampede. A robust suite of sacrifice-based protection creatures shields the board from sweepers, allowing the deck to close games through combat damage by Turn 7.
