Commander: Bilbo, Thief in the Night

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue spell-slinging combo deck built around Bilbo, Thief in the Night, whose attack trigger re-casts artifacts, instants, and sorceries from the graveyard at a discount, and whose static ability discounts every spell cast from anywhere other than the hand. The plan is to fill the graveyard through looting, self-mill, and wheels, then chain spells with the help of Baral, Chief of Compliance, Etherium Sculptor, Valeria Richards, Precocious, and Fortune Teller's Talent's top-deck mode. Primary finishes are the Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring loop into Brain Freeze or Aetherflux Reservoir, an Aetherflux life-gain storm kill, and a Laboratory Maniac self-mill alternative. Top-deck engines Future Sight, The Reality Chip, and Mystic Forge keep the chain fed, while a dense counterspell-and-bounce suite protects the combo turn. Bilbo's 2-mana cost makes him cheap to recast, and the deck's low average mana value (2.24) keeps the storm count climbing.
