Deck overview

This Temur deck leverages Xyris, the Writhing Storm to convert symmetrical card draw into overwhelming board presence and lethal burn damage. The early turns focus on accelerating mana via low-cost dorks and land enchantments to deploy Xyris on Turn 3 or 4. Once the commander is established, casting any wheel effect forces opponents to draw 21 total cards, creating an immediate army of 21 Snake tokens while refilling your hand. The deck converts these tokens into sudden victories through entry damage triggers like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors, combat overruns with Shared Animosity, or sacrifice value via Goblin Bombardment and Phyrexian Altar. A dense suite of free and efficient counterspells, including Force of Will and Deflecting Swat, protects the commander and prevents opponents from leveraging the cards drawn off your wheels.
