Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Gonti, Night Minister and implements a theft-focused midrange and aristocrats strategy. In the early game, cheap evasive creatures like Changeling Outcast and Bitterblossom connect in combat to trigger Gonti, exiling opposing spells and generating Treasure tokens whenever stolen cards are cast. The midgame transitions into a heavy attrition engine powered by Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Sothera, the Supervoid, converting expendable tokens into persistent board wipes for opponents. Late-game wins occur through Revel in Riches Treasure accumulation, Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion bursts, or wide Zombie assaults amplified by Gisa, the Hellraiser and Death Baron. While the deck excels at generating asymmetric creature suppression and card advantage, its mono-black identity leaves it vulnerable to noncreature combo strategies, fast artifact mana, and direct enchantment removal.
