Deck overview

This deck utilizes The Ur-Sphinx to pilot a dedicated 'Tribal Tribal' strategy. Because Changelings possess all creature types simultaneously, they trigger every specific kindred payoff in the list while benefiting from the commander's Eminence cost reduction directly from the command zone. The deck curves low-cost Shapeshifters into powerful multi-tribal engines, generating steady card advantage through Ninjas, Rogues, and Merfolk. Its primary win condition resolves Liliana's Contract on Turn 5 with four differently named Changeling Demons in play, threatening an immediate upkeep victory on Turn 6. Asymmetric sweepers like Crux of Fate keep opposing boards clear while leaving your own army untouched. If the alternate win condition is contested, combat finishers like Coat of Arms, Mirror Entity, and Thrumming Hivepool convert the wide Changeling army into a lethal combat force.
