Gale by user8219641

Format: Commander

Commander: Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy and Scion of Halaster

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Gale and Scion of Halaster form a self-milling value pair: Scion's replacement draw puts one card per turn into the graveyard, and Gale recasts the 'other type' from the graveyard after each instant or sorcery cast from hand. This engine provides card advantage, but the deck is actually a compact UB Thoracle combo deck. Its primary line is using Demonic Consultation or Divining Witch to empty the library, then resolving Thassa's Oracle; Laboratory Maniac and Jace are backup outlets. A dense tutor package assembles both halves, while Doomsday and Leveler supply slower alternative routes. Gale and Scion improve consistency and grind, but neither is required for the combo.
