Marneus Calgar is the engine and finisher of this Esper token deck. The deck aims to resolve Marneus, then convert every token ETB into card draw and every token creation or death into life-total drain via Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, and Kambal. It wins through a wide board of Soldier, Human, and Astartes tokens, buffed by anthems such as Ultramarines Honour Guard and For the Emperor!, or by grinding with drain over multiple turns. The commander's own 6-mana activation is a backup token source, not the primary plan. The deck has no true combo, so victory is an incremental board build wrapped in card advantage and moderate defensive interaction.
