Deck overview

This deck is an Esper battlecruiser strategy built around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its core engine accelerates mana on Turn 2, sculpts the top of the library with cheap cantrips and scry effects on Turns 1 through 3, and casts Yennett on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to trigger its ability, revealing and casting massive odd-cost spells for free. These payloads include one-sided board wipes like In Garruk's Wake, massive recursion such as Breach the Multiverse and Rise of the Dark Realms, and oppressive permanents like Portal to Phyrexia and Valgavoth, Terror Eater. The deck dominates through overwhelming board presence, recurring reanimation, and life total manipulation with Magister Sphinx. While vulnerable to instant removal targeting Yennett before combat and light on stack interaction, the deck presents high resilience through redundant haymakers that overwhelm opposing tables once the engine starts rolling.
