Deck overview

This Mardu tokens-and-aristocrats deck is helmed by Caesar, Legion's Emperor, a versatile engine that turns every attack into token generation, card draw, or direct burn damage. The primary plan is to deploy cheap token producers (Bitterblossom, Krenko, Mob Boss, Myrel, Shield of Argive) and force multipliers (Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation, Divine Visitation) to create an overwhelming board presence. Concurrently, aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and The Meathook Massacre turn creature deaths into life-drain and reach. Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors provide additional non-combat burn. The deck packs a dense suite of instant-speed removal, turn protection, and pillowfort effects to keep the engine running. Victory usually comes through a combination of combat damage from a wide token army, repeated drain triggers, or Caesar's direct-damage mode when a critical token mass is reached. There are no infinite combos; the deck relies on grinding out incremental advantage.
