Smaug by kingkirk117

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is both the commander and the engine of a Rakdos treasure-combo deck. The primary plan is to put Smaug into play, point noncombat damage at him to generate a flood of Treasures, then convert those Treasures into mass life loss through Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, Marionette Apprentice, Mayhem Devil, or Exsanguinate. Secondary paths use Prosper, Magda, Goldspan, and Black Market Connections as independent token and card-advantage engines, allowing the deck to play a slower attrition game if the combo is disrupted. Smaug's indestructible, hasty 8/7 body also pressures life totals. There is no hidden commander; Prosper and Magda act as supporting engines rather than alternate command-zone threats.
