Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Equipment and blink synergy build helmed by Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain. The primary strategy focuses on developing efficient mana rocks and utility Equipment in the opening turns, casting Arna, and swinging with modified creatures. Arna's attack trigger duplicates every nontoken permanent attached to the attacking creature while doubling all counters on it. This creates exponential growth in power, toughness, and token Equipment, quickly turning Arna into an evasive commander-damage threat. The deck complements this offensive core with a suite of cheap blink spells that re-trigger powerful enters-the-battlefield abilities on utility creatures like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Peregrine Drake while doubling as spot protection. Dense countermagic protects the setup from opposing interaction. Although it lacks infinite combos and mass stax, the deck exerts lethal combat pressure starting around Turn 5 and closes games across two subsequent attack cycles.
