Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a synergistic lifegain and aristocrats combo engine commanded by Amalia Benavides Aguirre. The game plan uses cheap soul sisters like Soul Warden and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun to trigger Amalia's explore ability repeatedly. This engine filters the library, guarantees land drops, and fills the graveyard with low-mana utility creatures. The deck translates incremental lifegain into steady opponent life loss through drain cards like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Starscape Cleric, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. It ultimately seeks to close the game on Turn 6 by assembling an infinite drain loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Sanguine Bond effects. Backed by efficient instant-speed protection like Flare of Fortitude and Dawn's Truce, plus robust mass reanimation spells such as Raise the Past, the deck maintains strong board presence and rapid recovery across multiple combat and combo axes.
