Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Simic +1/+1 counters midrange strategy led by Zimone, Paradox Sculptor. The game plan revolves around deploying early counter generators and mana dorks, casting Zimone on Turn 4, and utilizing her activated doubling ability alongside powerful multiplicative permanents like Branching Evolution, Doubling Season, and Court of Garenbrig. This counter explosion rapidly scales creatures into massive threats that overwhelm opponents through trample enablers like Kodama of the West Tree and Emil, Vastlands Roamer. The deck also features potent non-combat win conditions in Simic Ascendancy and an infinite extra-turn engine using Sage of Hours paired with Court of Garenbrig. While the strategy exhibits outstanding power scaling and solid resilience through backup counter engines, its reliance on board presence and a lean reactive interaction suite leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and fast combo decks.
