Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul aggro-combo build designed to exploit Xenagos, God of Revels. It leverages a dense suite of 1-drop and 2-drop mana ramp to deploy Xenagos on Turn 3. Because Xenagos is an indestructible enchantment before reaching seven devotion, it provides a resilient platform that grants immediate haste and doubles the power of any subsequent creature. On Turn 4, the deck deploys game-ending threats like Bloodthirster, Godo, Bandit Warlord, Pathbreaker Ibex, or Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, frequently tutoring them directly to the battlefield with spells such as Natural Order or Green Sun's Zenith. Xenagos multiplies these threats into lethal combat swings across chained attack steps. Lean defensive spells like Legolas's Quick Reflexes, Tamiyo's Safekeeping, and Deflecting Swat protect key creatures during critical attack windows, enabling the deck to systematically eliminate the entire table by Turn 5.
