Deck overview

This Dimir tempo-control deck is commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror, weaponizing instant-speed interaction and flash creatures to control the game. By casting interaction like Counterspell, Deadly Rollick, and bounce spells on opponents' turns, the deck triggers Alela to build an evasive army of 1/1 flying Faerie Rogues. When these Faeries deal combat damage, they goad key opposing creatures, forcing opponents to attack each other while shielding your life total. The deck leverages kindred synergies with lords like Scion of Oona and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, incremental drain from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist, and asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade and Cyclonic Rift. Win conditions culminate in an overwhelming flying assault powered by Notorious Throng extra turns or steady combat attrition, backed by dense countermagic that denies opposing win attempts while generating board presence.
