Deck overview

This Abzan deck uses The Necrobloom to turn lands in the graveyard into a renewable resource engine. It pairs dredge and self-mill with landfall payoffs to generate overwhelming creature swarms. Low-cost ramp spells accelerate mana in the early game, allowing The Necrobloom to enter reliably on Turn 4. From there, lands cycling through the graveyard trigger continuous token generation, creating 0/1 Plants or 2/2 Zombies. Mass land recovery cards like Splendid Reclamation, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, and Aftermath Analyst create explosive landfall turns, producing dozens of tokens. Auxiliary engines such as Scute Swarm, Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer, and Avenger of Zendikar provide redundant win conditions. The deck controls the board with flexible spot removal, including Swords to Plowshares and Assassin's Trophy, while using Strip Mine and Bojuka Bog loops to disrupt opponents. It closes games through wide combat attacks over two turn cycles.
