Deck overview

This deck leverages Tourach, Dread Cantor as both a Voltron win condition and a payoff for symmetrical discard effects. By casting cheap creatures that force every opponent to discard simultaneously—such as Burglar Rat, Virus Beetle, and Elderfang Disciple—the deck rapidly inflates Tourach's power with multiple +1/+1 counters per spell while stripping opponents of resources. Punisher enchantments like Oppression and Painful Quandary ensure that any attempt by opponents to cast spells further empties their hands or life totals, locking the table into topdeck mode. High-impact engines like Waste Not and Tergrid, God of Fright convert opposing discards into mana, card draw, and stolen permanents, allowing the pilot to pull ahead in board presence. Built-in protection from white defends Tourach against premier removal spells, enabling consistent commander damage pressure that closes out games in conjunction with passive upkeep life drain.
