Marchesa, Final Iteration by user7053857

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose leads a Grixis Wizards value deck that wins by accumulating +1/+1 counters, sacrificing creatures for advantage, and using Marchesa's death trigger to return those creatures every end step. The "dethrone" anthem makes every attacker a counter engine, while Gev, Scaled Scorch, Sage of Fables, and Metallic Mimic ensure Wizards enter with counters so they are immediately fuel for the loop. A strong spell-slinger subtheme sits underneath: Vivi Ornitier grows and drains whenever a noncreature spell is cast, Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied provides tokens and damage doubling, and Harmonic Prodigy doubles Wizard triggers. Kess, Dissident Mage acts as a hidden second commander, rebuying key instants and sorceries. The deck has no compact infinite combo; it is a grinding value engine that closes through repeated Wizard damage, combat, or mass theft with Mob Rule.
