Dad's birthday deck by Un4gvn

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable leads a Rakdos treasure-damage deck that turns artifact tokens into direct damage, card draw, and explosive mana. The primary plan is to generate large numbers of Treasure tokens, then convert them into damage through pingers such as Ingenious Artillerist, Reckless Fireweaver, Mayhem Devil, and Disciple of the Vault. The commander is a resilient 8/7 indestructible haste dragon that both pressures life totals and creates Treasures whenever it is dealt noncombat damage, which synergizes with cards like Blazing Sunsteel and Pain for All. Secondary paths include Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-control win, Crackle with Power as a mana sink, and commander damage via Rogue's Passage. The deck is built to use Smaug the Impenetrable as a durable attacker and damage-magnet, not primarily as a combo engine.
