Commander: Satoru Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Satoru Umezawa builds a tempo-cheat engine: unblockable 1/1s attack, then return to hand to ninjutsu in high-impact creatures like Jin-Gitaxias, Blightsteel Colossus, or Rune-Scarred Demon without paying their mana costs. The build is centered on Satoru's static ability, with Yuriko as a secondary ninja-damage engine. Secondary paths include a fragile infinite-mana loop with Palinchron/Great Whale/Peregrine Drake, but these are inconsistent. With 35 interaction spells and heavy draw, it plans to control the board, cheat a finisher, and close via combat damage, ideally a one-shot Blightsteel hit or a large Yuriko reveal.
