Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos group slug and combo strategy commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap, persistent damage sources—such as Roiling Vortex, Kederekt Parasite, and Orcish Bowmasters—during the early turns to guarantee life loss on every opponent's turn. When Valgavoth enters the battlefield, it converts these incremental pings into immense card advantage, drawing up to three extra cards per turn cycle while growing into a lethal airborne threat. This rapid card flow fuels the deck's primary win conditions: two-card infinite life-drain combos including Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Enduring Tenacity, as well as Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank. Asymmetric punishers like Manabarbs, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Wound Reflection severely constrict opposing resources and life totals. While the deck possesses limited stack protection and a lean mana base, its overwhelming card velocity and redundant combo lines ensure swift and decisive finishes.
