Rivaz by user4724540

Format: Commander

Commander: Rivaz of the Claw

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Rivaz of the Claw leads a Rakdos Dragon-tribal deck that accelerates with cost reducers, treasures, and the commander's Dragon-only mana. The primary plan is combat: deploy large Dragons, make tokens with Utvara Hellkite, and multiply turns with Scourge of the Throne. Rivaz is also a one-per-turn reanimation engine, so Buried Alive, looting, and self-mill set up second or third copies of key Dragons. Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Parapet Thrasher provide direct reach, letting one large combat kill multiple opponents. There is no hidden commander; Scion of Halaster is a support enchantment in the 99, and the modal Dragons use their front face as the main mode.
