Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red Dragon Tribal deck helmed by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The core game plan focuses on utilizing early mana rocks and cost reducers like Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman, and Ruby Medallion to accelerate into Lathliss, Dragon Queen ahead of curve. Once Lathliss is deployed, every subsequent nontoken Dragon spell creates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly establishing a dominant aerial army. Mass damage effects like Desolation of Smaug and Breath Weapon act as asymmetric wipes that clear opposing ground creatures while keeping the dragon horde unharmed. Direct damage enablers like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas convert creature deployments into lethal burn, while finishers like Terror of Mount Velus and Utvara Hellkite ensure games close quickly. The deck's primary limitations stem from lack of stack interaction, reliance on combat, and vulnerability to exile-based board wipes.
