Format: Commander

Commander: Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a colorless Food and artifact grind deck. The primary plan is to generate Food tokens and sacrifice artifacts for value, gaining life and drawing cards while growing Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender. Syr Ginger is a payoff, not an engine: she gets a +1/+1 counter and scrys whenever another artifact you control goes to the graveyard and can sacrifice to gain life equal to her power. The hidden commander is The Underworld Cookbook, which turns excess lands found by the deck's many land tutors into Food. Secondary paths win with large artifact creatures like Gate Colossus and Su-Chi Cave Guard, boosted by Chrome Dome, or with incremental damage from Gingerbrute and other small attackers.
