Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, leveraging sacrifice mechanics to turn individual high-power creatures into sprawling armies of 2/2 black Zombie tokens. The deck operates on a steady midrange curve, ramping in the early turns with artifacts and cost-reducers before establishing repeatable card draw engines such as Cryptbreaker, Undead Augur, and Graveborn Muse. Once Gisa is deployed on Turn 5, she untaps on Turn 6 to sacrifice fodder and flood the board. The plan converts this board state into a win on Turns 7 through 9 using static stat buffs from lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, asymmetric board suppression via Noxious Ghoul, and life-drain finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead. While resilient against single-target creature removal thanks to deep graveyard recursion, the list lacks stack interaction, artifact removal, and proactive protection for Gisa.
