Format: Commander

Commander: Balin, Loremaster

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Balin, Loremaster leads a mono-red Dwarf discard-burn deck. The primary plan uses Balin's discard-draw and enduring story damage together with pingers that trigger when you discard. You build a board of artifacts, legendaries and Sagas to turn on enduring story, then loop looting spells and Dwarf ETBs to draw many cards and deal incremental damage to all opponents. Secondary paths include Treasure generation for ramp and Magda tutoring, combat with buffed Dwarves, and amplified damage from Torbran and The Rollercrusher Ride. Balin acts as the main engine and payoff, while Brallin, Glint-Horn Buccaneer and similar effects serve as hidden commanders that can win without him.
