Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis discard and connive midrange strategy centered on Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck leverages Doom's combat trigger to filter cards, buff Villains with +1/+1 counters, and drain the table whenever land cards are discarded. Dense looting effects like Faithless Looting and Frantic Search fuel powerful synergies with cards like Containment Construct, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Magmakin Artillerist. The deck builds a resilient board of evasive attackers and token generators like Ultron, Unlimited and Zombie Infestation, while threatening explosive combat turns with Living Laser. An efficient suite of Grixis removal handles diverse permanent threats, while Notion Thief and Propaganda punish opponent resource generation. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through steady life drain, wide token attacks, and direct damage.
