Deck overview

This Bant deck uses an all-creatures nonland construction constraint, omitting noncreature spells so every nonland card in the 99 is a creature. This deliberate design maximizes the ability of Amareth, the Lustrous, ensuring that almost every creature entering the battlefield reveals another creature card from the top of the library directly into hand. The deck curves from early mana creatures like Birds of Paradise and Bloom Tender into compounding card engines such as Chulane, Teller of Tales, Beast Whisperer, and blink engines like Soulherder and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling. While it foregoes fast artifact mana and traditional instant-speed spells, the deck compensates with dense creature-based utility, enters-the-battlefield removal, and asymmetric pieces like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and Grand Abolisher. The deck rapidly amasses a wide battlefield presence, closing the game through massive overrun finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth and Moonshaker Cavalry to trample over opponents.
