Deck overview

This Rakdos spellslinger burn deck leverages Black Waltz No. 3 to turn every noncreature spell into table-wide direct damage. The game plan establishes early mana velocity through cheap rocks and explosive rituals like Dark Ritual, Jeska's Will, and Seething Song. On Turn 4, the commander enters the battlefield, immediately operational with low-cost cantrips and impulse draw. By Turn 5, the deck hits its critical onset by deploying damage multipliers such as Harmonic Prodigy, Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage, Hawkeye, Young Avenger, or the lethal infect clock of Phyresis. Chaining cheap spells, Treasure producers like Storm-Kiln Artist, and recursion via Underworld Breach or Mizzix's Mastery burns down opposing life totals across the board, closing games on Turn 6 within a single response cycle. Robust free and low-cost interaction spells like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Return the Favor shield the engine while disrupting opposing strategies.
