Deck overview

This deck is an Esper combo-control build commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. Its primary game plan focuses on assembling the compact, game-winning combination of Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation. Backed by premium black tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor, the deck rapidly locates its combo pieces while establishing early mana velocity through positive rocks such as Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, and Grim Monolith. Robust card engines including Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring ensure continuous card advantage. The deck protects its combo turns using proactive silence effects like Silence and Grand Abolisher, alongside a deep suite of free and efficient countermagic such as Force of Will and Pact of Negation. If the primary line is interrupted, the deck can grind value through Y'shtola's drain and draw triggers, eventually pivoting to a secondary infinite life-drain loop with Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond.
