Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Cascade Storm shell centered on Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The deck's primary game plan focuses on ramping into Yidris on Turn 3 or 4, protecting him through combat, and connecting with combat damage to trigger his ability. Once Yidris connects, every spell cast from hand gains cascade for the rest of the turn. In the post-combat main phase, the pilot chains spells into mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist, while refueling via wheels like Windfall and Whispering Madness. The turn culminates in a lethal burst of storm-based damage via Aetherflux Reservoir, Tendrils of Agony, or Mind's Desire.
