Deck overview

This is an Esper discard-and-reanimate value engine built around Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The core loop is simple: every loot, connive, cycle, or discard effect can turn a creature card in hand into a 4/4 black Zombie copy, while the original card can be reanimated by Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, or Living Death. The high-end targets-Archon of Cruelty, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Valgavoth, Terror Eater-provide powerful ETB and attack triggers that take over the game. When the pieces line up, Peregrine Drake plus Tortured Existence creates arbitrarily many 4/4 Zombie Drakes. The Scarab God acts as a second, slower version of the commander's token-making ability, giving the deck a functional backup plan if Hashaton is answered.
