This Sultai deck combines Sliver tribal synergies with -1/-1 counter engines, commanded by Volrath, the Shapestealer. The game plan accelerates mana on turns one through three using cheap dorks and land-ramp spells. On turn four, the deck deploys Volrath, the Shapestealer or an evasive Sliver core. At combat, Volrath distributes -1/-1 counters to weaken opposing threats or enable copying utility creatures as 7/5 beaters. Meanwhile, Slivers share flying, unblockable, double strike, and poisonous abilities across the entire team. Secondary engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons convert counter placement into board control, card draw, and token armies. The deck protects its board with dense low-cost countermagic, Heroic Intervention, and protective Slivers like Diffusion Sliver and Crypt Sliver. It wins by dealing lethal combat damage or applying fatal poison counters over two to three attack cycles.
