Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats engine commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary strategy focuses on deploying synergistic Zombie creatures and mana ramp in the early turns, establishing Gisa on turn 4, and utilizing her activated ability on turn 5 to sacrifice high-power creatures into wide swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once the token engine is online, the deck leverages tribal lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron to apply overwhelming combat pressure, while aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert creature deaths and enters triggers into direct table-wide life loss. The deck exhibits strong functional redundancy across its creature package and draws cards efficiently through engines like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. However, its reliance on tap-activated abilities without haste, complete lack of noncreature tutors, and minimal protective interaction leave its game plan vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and board sweepers.
