Deck overview

This deck focuses on Strong, the Brutish Thespian as a self-growing Voltron commander. The strategy ramps aggressively during the first three turns using mana dorks, land-fetch sorceries, and artifacts. On turn 4 or 5, Strong enters the battlefield and uses fight effects or Caltrops to trigger Enrage. Each damage trigger places +1/+1 counters on Strong and grants rad counters, which heal you during the precombat main phase instead of causing life loss. Trample enablers such as Garruk's Uprising, Power Fist, and Branching Evolution quickly scale Strong into a lethal combat threat. The deck controls the board with a high density of cheap fight and bite spells that convert Strong's massive power into creature removal. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking stack-based countermagic, its dense recursion package and built-in Ward {2} give it solid mid-game resilience.
