Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Aristocrats and Counter-Reanimator Combo deck commanded by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The core strategy uses Tayam's static ability—which grants vigilance counters to every entering creature—combined with low-mana counter generators like Wall of Roots, Incubation Druid, and Weaponcraft Enthusiast. By spending {3} mana and removing three counters, Tayam mills cards and returns any permanent with mana value 3 or less directly to the battlefield. The deck ramps aggressively on Turns 1 and 2, deploys Tayam on Turn 3, and achieves full engine operation on Turn 4. On Turn 5, it closes the game through infinite sacrifice and reanimation loops with Ashnod's Altar, draining the entire table in one turn via Blood Artist. Protection from Sylvan Safekeeper and Voice of Victory shields the win attempt, while utility creatures like Haywire Mite and Spore Frog offer recyclable defensive control.
