Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Storm engine commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex, built around the custom prepare mechanic and Magecraft synergies. The game plan focuses on fixing mana across all five colors during the first two turns, deploying Codie on Turn 3, and landing a key engine piece such as Storm-Kiln Artist or Archmage Emeritus on Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck triggers critical onset by activating Codie's ability to prepare all creatures or casting high-impact prepared spells like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song and Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall. Because Codie duplicates every prepared spell, each cast generates double the mana, card advantage, and Magecraft triggers. This fuels a continuous storm sequence that burns the entire table out in a single turn using Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, or a massive Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. The deck is resilient and protected by efficient interaction, but relies heavily on creature-based setup.
