Deck overview

This deck is an Esper big-mana control strategy centered on Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. By combining low-cost artifact acceleration with topdeck manipulation tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and Brainstorm, the deck reliably casts its commander on Turn 4 and attacks on Turn 5. Each attack reveals and casts massive odd-mana-value spells for free, bypassing their high casting costs. Payoffs such as Void Winnower, Portal to Phyrexia, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse generate crushing asymmetric value and lock out opposing plays. A robust interaction suite featuring Void Rend, Mana Drain, and Swords to Plowshares disrupts faster opponents while the deck establishes its clock. Once an overwhelming threat is cheated into play, evasive combat damage closes out the game over two turn cycles.
