Talion edhvault v3 by user5711721

Format: Commander

Commander: Talion, the Kindly Lord

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Talion, the Kindly Lord leads a Dimir control-combo deck that wins by emptying its library with Demonic Consultation and winning with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac. Talion is a value engine, not a combo piece; you choose a number and draw cards while opponents lose life when they match it. The deck controls the table with heavy counterspells, discard wheels, and lock pieces like Narset, Parter of Veils and Notion Thief paired with Whispering Madness, Dark Deal, and Teferi's Puzzle Box. Hidden commanders are Jace and Laboratory Maniac as the actual win conditions, with Narset/Notion Thief as alternate locks. Secondary paths grind value through Necrodominance and Talion triggers until the Consultation window opens.
