Deck overview

This deck is a aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal list piloted by Edgar Markov. It utilizes the commander's eminence ability to generate 1/1 Vampire tokens for every Vampire spell cast, rapidly assembling an imposing board presence during the early turns without requiring the commander on the battlefield. The strategy transitions from early token swarm into devastating mid-game aggression using tribal lords such as Legion Lieutenant and Stromkirk Captain, alongside explosive damage multipliers like Shared Animosity and drain engines like Sanctum Seeker. To sustain gas, the list leverages token-fueled draw engines including Skullclamp and Champion of Dusk. Board resilience is bolstered by Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm, while premium removal spells such as Anguished Unmaking and Ruinous Ultimatum clear opposing obstacles. As a backup win condition, the deck packs the classic two-card infinite life-drain loop of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond / Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, providing a clean route to victory through stalled combat boards.
