Deck overview

This is a classic mono-black aristocrats deck helmed by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The primary game plan is to generate incremental life-loss through a dense suite of drain effects, fuel those triggers with repeatable sacrifice loops, and eventually close out the game with an infinite combo (Ashnod's Altar + Gravecrawler + a drain outlet) or a massive Exsanguinate/Bolas's Citadel. The deck leans heavily on its commander for card draw and an additional drain source, but the core engine is built from the 99. Recurring creatures like Reassembling Skeleton and Bloodghast provide sacrifice fodder, while Pitiless Plunderer and Pawn of Ulamog produce tokens to keep the machine running. The fallback plan is to grind out value through repeated edict effects and Living Death resets. The deck is focused, resilient to creature-based disruption, and capable of winning out of nowhere once the combo is assembled.
