Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm commands a Rakdos treasure-drain midrange deck that weaponizes mana acceleration into massive card advantage and direct damage. The deck develops early artifact generation through engines like Prosper, Tome-Bound, Grim Hireling, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw. Once Smaug enters, he refuels your hand whenever you spend Treasure mana, turning every ritual and token into continuous fuel. The primary path to victory leverages mass Treasure creation with aristocrat drain effects such as Mirkwood Bats, The Sackville-Bagginses, and Alchemist's Talent. Alternatively, the deck closes games via infinite Magecraft copies using Fury Storm alongside Storm-Kiln Artist.
