Deck overview

Tsagan, Raider Warlord commands an aggressive Mardu token-swarm deck that leverages the Speed mechanic and first strike keywords to generate overwhelming combat damage. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient early creatures and token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Hero of Bladehold, then casting Tsagan to convert keyword density into scaling power boosts across the entire attacking force. Attack multipliers like Isshin, Two Heavens as One and keyword spreaders like Odric, Lunarch Marshal exponentially increase the board's offensive power. While the deck operates primarily through the combat phase and is naturally vulnerable to board wipes, robust defensive tools like Grand Crescendo and Selfless Spirit protect key pieces. Efficient spot removal in Mardu colors clears critical obstacles, culminating in massive alpha strikes or asymmetric blowouts with Ruinous Ultimatum and extra combat steps.
