Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Mutate midrange strategy that leverages cheap, evasive, and hexproof non-Human creatures as hosts for powerful mutate creatures. Piloted by Ramos, Dragon Engine as a high-ceiling mana battery, the deck primarily operates through its 99, utilizing cards like Pollywog Symbiote, Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief, and Season of Growth to smooth curve and card advantage. By Turns 4 and 5, it transitions into critical onset by mutating apex creatures like Auspicious Starrix and Illuna, Apex of Wishes, triggering multiple stacked abilities simultaneously to clear opposing boards and cheat massive permanents into play. The deck protects its tall mutate towers with premium phasing effects such as Clever Concealment and Teferi's Protection, which preserve merged stacks completely. Without infinite combos, it closes out games cleanly via overwhelming combat damage powered by Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt and Nethroi, Apex of Death by Turn 7.
