Half Way There by Justduff1992

Format: Commander

Commander: Haliya, Guided by Light

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-white lifegain/"counters and tokens" value deck helmed by Haliya, Guided by Light. The plan is to accrue small life-gain triggers - from creatures entering, ETB effects, and incidental triggers like Authority of the Consuls - then convert that life into card draw, +1/+1 counters, and token bodies via payoffs like Heliod, Sun-Crowned, Archangel of Thune, Ocelot Pride, and Crested Sunmare. Haliya is a modest but real engine: her ETB trigger adds life, her end-step condition draws a card once you reach 3+ life gained that turn, and her Warp ability lets you exile and recast her to re-trigger the ETB. The deck wins primarily through combat - going wide and tall with Moonshaker Cavalry, Akroma's Will, and Virtue of Loyalty - with Aetherflux Reservoir and Serra Ascendant as alternate finishes.
