Deck overview

This Mardu artifact deck is commanded by Megatron, Tyrant // Megatron, Destructive Force. The strategy focuses on casting Megatron on Turn 4 via More Than Meets the Eye, then attacking to sacrifice high-mana artifacts such as Spine of Ish Sah, Su-Chi Cave Guard, or Wurmcoil Engine. Megatron deals damage equal to the sacrificed artifact's mana value to an opposing creature, trampling excess damage into the player's life total. Upon converting in the post-combat main phase, Megatron produces a large burst of colorless mana proportional to the total life lost by opponents. This mana fuels explosive plays, deploying colossal finishers like Blightsteel Colossus or casting mass recursion spells like Wake the Past. While the deck features solid ward protection and combat-phase denial, its reliance on natural draws and lack of stack interaction make it a classic synergy-driven midrange combat deck.
