Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A red-green "target spell" engine deck. The Howling Abomination is the primary reward: each spell that targets it adds +2/+2 and deals 2 damage to every opponent. The deck accelerates early, then casts the Abomination and buries opponents under targeted cantrips and pumps, amplified by Zada, Mirrorwing Dragon, Frontline Heroism, and Leyline of Resonance. Zada Hedron Grinder functions as the hidden commander and the real copy engine. Secondary paths are token flood via Young Pyromancer and Frontline Heroism, poison pressure from Venerated Rotpriest, and a Storm-Kiln Artist buyback/storm finish with Haze of Rage and Grapeshot. The commander is the engine, but the deck retains several working lines without it.
