Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker leads a mono-black Shadowborn Apostle combo deck. Shadowborn Apostle acts as a hidden commander: 29 copies form the backbone, letting the deck sacrifice six at a time to put Demons directly onto the battlefield. Shirei's role is to return every sacrificed 1-power creature at end step, making the same Apostles reusable turn after turn. The primary plan is to mass-sacrifice Apostles for Demons and win with Liliana's Contract; a secondary aristocrat path drains through Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance. Secret Salvage plus Jet Medallion enables a one-turn swarm of every remaining Apostle, making the deck explosive despite its simple shell.
