Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Dimir tempo build commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, designed to execute aggressive combat pressure and asymmetric table-wide burn. The strategy opens on Turn 1 with cheap, evasive 0–1 CMC creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Ornithopter, enabling a reliable Turn 2 commander ninjutsu activation. Because commander ninjutsu operates from the command zone for a static {U}{B} cost, Yuriko bypasses traditional commander tax and standard spell countermagic. Once established, the deck leverages topdeck manipulation tools including Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Sensei's Divining Top to stack high-mana-value spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass on top of the library. When Ninjas connect, Yuriko draws cards and burns each opponent simultaneously for massive life loss. Supported by low-cost interaction, evasion enablers, and Delve spells, the deck rapidly depletes opposing life totals in unison while maintaining an overflowing hand.
